Hi, my name is Madelyn. I am a nineteen year old college student. I am just about to finish my first year of college. It has been a huge transition, especially since I go to college out of state but I have learned so many new lessons. I am also blessed to be able to go to a Christian college. I am a "church kid." The definition of that is I have grown up going to church all my life. I asked Jesus to come be my Savior and come into my heart at the young age of five. I did not know what it quite meant to be a Christian, but I continued obeying my parents and living right. In early middle school, I started realizing what a relationship with God really meant. I started hanging out with girls in my class that were not really nice. I started becoming like them and being mean. I started not following the Lord like I ought to have been. As the Bible says, "bad company corrupts good character" which was what was happening to me. My mom talked about it with me, and I started changing the way I was acting. Things started going uphill in high school until my senior year when I met a boy. You see, I went to a small Christian school where I had known all the boys there since Kindergarten and there were not many boys my age at church. This was the first time a boy was interested in me and asked me out. As I look back, it was an okay relationship but I stopped spending as much time as I should with God. That has been a struggle even into college. About a month and a half ago, I was at a Women's Conference at my college. One of my friends spoke over me and said I needed to get up early and spend time with God. Back Story: I was already getting up at 5:45 AM like in the morning three times a week. I was not too thrilled about getting up at 5:30 AM to read my Bible. However, I am so glad I started doing that. It has changed my life so much, and I do not want to go back to how my life was. That is my (shortened) story so far. So again, my name is Madelyn and I can't wait to meet you all and hear your story.
