Hi fam! I’m your new sis Leisl. I am a college kid who enjoys mixing marinara sauce and mashed potatoes and hugging trees in the springtime. I’m in love with Jesus and I’m super excited to join Exuberantly Us and see how this sisterhood will grow me in my walk with Jesus, because honey I need some growth! If I’m totally honest here I feel a bit discouraged about my spiritual growth sometimes and it's my guess that you probably do too. If you find yourself in the place I am of desiring growth but not seeing all the fruit that you would like to yet, I want to encourage you to push through and keep pursuing God with all your heart. Don’t listen to the lies that the enemy tries to feed you saying that you are a failure and that you will never get past your current stage, because ya know what honey? That’s not what your Father speaks over you. HE says that he will lead you by his strong right hand into the plans that he has for you. So don’t fret sis, the season WILL come when you see the growth you have been desiring, in the meantime just enjoy Jesus in the waiting because he is there too! So now for some girl chat. Well, I finally made my account and have come to read your post! I like that you identified these feelings as coming from the Enemy. That might be true. It's definitely easy to believe that I'm just going to always be in a stagnant place. I like the hope you offer! I think that in times when we aren't really "feeling it" or experiencing new special emotions or whatever it is we think should be happening spiritually, it is good to try to keep being faithful. Keep seeking God. He is still good. We still need His word. He is still sooo deserving of our worship!
